Reporting a Community Standards Violation

We strive to provide a safe and civil environment. If you notice inappropriate behavior that violates our Terms of Use or Community Standards, let us know by submitting a report.

Types of violations

In-experience

A violation that occurs while in an experience. Examples: Inappropriate game content or chat messages from another user.

Out of experiences

A violation that occurs while on the platform, but not in an experience. Examples: Avatar violations, inappropriate game themes or bad behavior outside of an experience.

Report or block a user

You can report or block a user by clicking on their profile, clicking the three dots next to the chat option, then selecting Block or Report.

Parents can report or block a user from their child’s account by going to Parental Controls in your Settings. Navigating to your child’s Communications, then following the same steps as above.

How to report a violation that happens in-experience

The Report Abuse feature is available in any of our games and experiences. To make a report follow these steps.

In-Experience Reporting 

  1. Select the Menu button located at the upper left corner of the Roblox player screen. It appears as three stacked horizontal lines.
  2. Select the shield icon labeled Report that will show up in the dropdown.
  3. From the next screen, use the arrows to select whether you want to report an Experience or a Person.
  4. Select from the dropdowns to describe the violation you want to report. Use the short description box to add additional details.
  5. Select Submit to finalize.

How to report a violation that happens outside an experience

If you notice something outside of one of our games or experiences, you can still report it.
