• The Takeover is our newest platform-wide event encouraging and celebrating co-opetition and the diversity of experiences created by Roblox’s creator community.
• From September 12 through 22, users can compete in their favorite genres to capture and defend districts and zones.
• Users can play solo or join a crew, and earn “creds”, or on-platform credits to spend on in-game avatar items by completing challenges or by being part of a crew.

Roblox’s newest event, The Takeover, is designed to explore the depth and breadth of genres available on the platform and encourage and celebrate co-opetition. Anyone on Roblox can join starting today and play through September 22. 

Users start by entering one of four districts from the event’s main Clubhouse. The districts—Strat University, Adrenaline Heights, Artists Alley, and Competition Park—will each have four zones associated with various Roblox genres. Each zone will contain three games with challenges for different difficulty levels. Users can play solo or form and join crews to capture and defend zones from competitors looking to take over their zone. 

Users can compete in any of 48 participating games across a variety of genres, including: 

• Survival, including Pressure by Urbanshade: Hadal Division

• Sports, including Tennis: Zero by Current x Blackstar

• Strategy, including SpongeBob Tower Defense by Krabby Krew

• Roleplay, including Dress To Impress by Dress to Impress Group

• Obby, including Barry’s Prison Run by PlatinumFalls

By completing challenges, users can earn in-game “creds” (or credits), which they can use to obtain in-game avatar items. There will also be opportunities to gain extra creds, including being the first user to complete a specific challenge, being part of a crew, daily quests, and double creds days.
