Founder + CEO
David Baszucki is the Founder and CEO of Roblox. His vision is to build a global platform that brings people together through play. Under his leadership, Roblox has established itself as one of the fastest-growing, privately-held technology companies in the world, now surpassing a billion hours of user engagement each month.
David was named one of Goldman Sachs’ 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs in 2017 and 2018. He was also listed by Comparably as one of the Top CEOs for Diversity in 2018. He is regularly featured in The Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, Forbes, Business Insider, VentureBeat, and other influential publications.
Prior to Roblox, David founded Knowledge Revolution, which became the volume leader in educational physics and mechanical design simulation software. The company was acquired by MSC Software in 1998, where he served as Vice President and General Manager.
David graduated from Stanford University as a General Motors Scholar in Electrical Engineering.
Chief Business Officer
As Chief Business Officer for Roblox, Craig Donato is leading the growth of our platform on a global scale. He works to drive brand awareness and engagement, ensuring the safety and success of our player and developer communities and establishing a healthy ecosystem for creators to build immersive experiences. Craig oversees Roblox’s Marketing and Corporate Communications, Brand Partnerships, Care & Safety, and Developer Relations teams to deliver world-class experiences that millions of people can enjoy.
Prior to joining Roblox, Craig led business development and monetization at Nextdoor, a social network for neighborhoods. He was also the CEO and co-founder of Oodle, a local community marketplace that was acquired by QVC in 2012.
Craig graduated with an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
Chief Financial Officer
Mike Guthrie serves as Chief Financial Officer at Roblox. He is focused on scaling our business on a global level, defining our overall financial strategy; driving sustained, profitable growth; and securing new business opportunities. Mike leads Roblox’s finance, accounting, business & corporate development functions to position the company for long-term success as we expand into new international markets.
A veteran of Silicon Valley, Mike has spent more than 30 years operating, investing in, and advising technology companies. Prior to joining Roblox, he was the Chief Financial Officer of TrueCar, Inc. where he led the company through multiple rounds of private financing and spearheaded its initial public offering in 2014. Previously, he was a private equity investor at TPG and Garnett and Helfrich Capital where he focused on growth equity investing and middle market buyouts.
Mike graduated with an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia.
As President of International, Chris Misner is spearheading efforts to bring Roblox to millions of players and creators across the world. He plays a key role in accelerating our continued expansion overseas by managing the company’s global partnership and localization initiatives.
Chris is a strategic international e-commerce executive with over 20 years of leadership, management, and operational experience working at iconic Silicon Valley companies. He spent six years running Apple’s e-commerce business across all of Asia, including launching the Apple Online Store in China and growing it to billions of dollars in revenue. Prior to his time in Asia, he was responsible for Apple’s online store expansion in Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East. He also held a variety of roles at venture-funded start-ups Good Technology, Backflip, and Netscape Communications.
Chris has an AB in Architecture from Princeton University, an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and an MA in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
VP of Engineering, Technology
As Vice President of Engineering, Technology for Roblox, Adam Miller leads the development of immersive game experiences through innovations in our physics and rendering engines. He oversees the Roblox Game Engine, the Roblox Studio development tools, as well as our mobile and console engineering teams to optimize performance across all devices.
Adam has spent more than 20 years building, leading, and managing software development through all layers of the stack and development process. Prior to joining Roblox, he was Director of Software Engineering at Intertrust where he architected digital rights management technology and directed the development of an incubated start-up. In 2001, he created the massively multiplayer online game Star Sonata, which was later acquired by Landauer Games.
Adam graduated with a BS in Computer Science from Yale University.
VP of Engineering, Platform
Julian Walshaw-Vaughan serves as Vice President of Engineering, Platform at Roblox. He leads our software platform teams, providing our global community of millions of developers with the technology they need to build immersive, cross-platform experiences at a massive scale.
Julian is an executive technology leader with over 20 years of experience in the software entertainment industry. Prior to joining Roblox in 2018, Julian led the long-term vision, product strategy, and development for the Electronic Arts Frostbite engine and was the Chief Technical Officer for the EA Studios group overseeing technology strategy for DICE, EA Sports, and Bioware. He also held leadership and executive roles at other major Silicon Valley companies, including Apple and Zynga.
Julian graduated from the University of Liverpool with a B.Eng in Electronics and an MSc. in VLSI Systems Engineering from the University of Manchester.
VP of Corporate + Production Engineering
As Vice President of Corporate and Production Engineering for Roblox, Dan Williams is leading efforts to provide a performant and reliable networking infrastructure that can support millions of concurrent players around the world. He is scaling Roblox’s proprietary cloud to expand our global footprint all while maintaining the highest performance and reliability.
Dan’s 20 years of data center and networking experience includes senior leadership positions at Facebook, Dropbox, and the San Francisco 49ers. At Facebook, Dan played a major role in scaling the company’s infrastructure to support its growth from 10 million to 750 million monthly active users.
Dan graduated with a BS in Business Management from Menlo College.
VP of Product + Product Operations
Matt Kaufman serves as Vice President of Product and Product Operations at Roblox. In his role, Matt guides the company’s overall product strategy to help us bring people together through play and build world-class digital experiences for our growing international community. He oversees the product teams for Growth, Developer Tools, Analytics, Social, Apps, and International.
Matt has over 20 years of executive leadership experience building highly successful marketplace platforms, enterprise SaaS applications, and large-scale multiplayer games. In his previous role at Crunchbase, he defined the company’s strategic vision, built partnerships, and assembled the team that executed a successful spinout from AOL. Kaufman also held various executive roles leading engineering and product management teams at companies including Oodle, edgeio, and There.com.
Matt graduated with a BS in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering from UC Davis and a MS in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech.
VP of Product Management
Enrico D’Angelo serves as Vice President of Product Management at Roblox. He guides our product strategy around the growth and sustainability of our Creator ecosystems, as well as player experience and identity. He oversees the Avatar, Catalog, Economy, and Game Experience product teams.
Enrico brings a wealth of experience in domestic and international corporate strategy, product management, and business development. Previously, he led Activision Blizzard’s Strategy, Business, and M&A team and has launched several free-to-play products including Call of Duty Mobile and Call of Duty Online in China. He also held the title of Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company where he served media, gaming companies, and investors worldwide.
Enrico received his MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated with a BS in Business from LUISS Guido Carli.
VP of Corporate Communications
Teresa serves as Vice President of Corporate Communications at Roblox. She leads our communications and media strategy, building Roblox’s reputation for bringing the world together through play.
Teresa is a public relations veteran with over 20 years of experience in leading global communications strategies. She was previously Head of Communications at SurveyMonkey where she led all external and internal communications, including the company’s successful IPO in 2018. She also held a number of key leadership positions at Apple, developing and executing global communications strategies for the company’s iPhone and Mac products. Before Apple, Teresa worked at Sony Computer Entertainment America, directing media relations for its North American PlayStation business. In 2015, Business Insider named her as one of the top 10 best PR people in the technology industry.
Teresa graduated from James Madison University with a BA in English and Speech Communications.
VP of Marketing + Digital Civility
As Vice President of Marketing & Digital Civility for Roblox, Tami Bhaumik is supporting the company on a global scale to inspire brand advocacy, awareness, and engagement through social channels, digital experiences, and community-driven events. She is also creating a worldwide community of internet safety leaders to help foster good digital citizenship habits among kids and teens.
Tami is passionate about growing companies that have disruptive technologies and enhance people’s day-to-day lives. She brings over 25 years of consumer and high-tech marketing experience to the team, having launched and led the growth of many start-ups including Sling Media, Anki, Ooma, and Lyve Minds. She also built deep ad agency expertise at Saatchi & Saatchi and J. Walter Thompson.
Tami is a member of the Board of Directors of the Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI). She graduated with a BA at the University of California, Berkeley.
SVP of Business Development
As Senior Vice President of Business Development for Roblox, Scott Rubin drives brand awareness and adoption by securing premium distribution in both physical and digital channels. He leads new business development activities for the company through key global licensing (e.g. toys, books, apparel, etc.) and platform (e.g. Apple, Google, Amazon, Windows 10, Xbox, etc.) partnership opportunities.
Scott brings over 15 years of experience working in the digital entertainment, video game, and mobile industries, as well as over 20 years of experience in the internet and technology sectors. Prior to joining Roblox, he held various executive roles at Livescribe, Huawei, Namco Bandai, and SEGA. He spent much of his career at Namco Bandai, the largest entertainment company in Japan, building its North American mobile and digital games division. Scott also has a strong international business background. He lived and worked in Japan earlier in his career, and he is proficient in the Japanese language.
Scott graduated from Pennsylvania State University and Kansai Gaidai University.
VP of Finance
Hans Gunawan serves as Vice President of Finance at Roblox. In his role, Hans leads all aspects of the company’s financial analysis and strategic planning efforts to drive effective business decisions. He oversees the Financial Planning & Analysis and Account Teams, working closely with our Chief Financial Officer to support our continued business momentum and accelerate our global expansion.
Prior to joining Roblox, Hans was Director of Finance at SugarCRM and Skyline Solar. He grew up in Southeast Asia, is an avid gamer, and has an (underutilized) Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI.
Hans graduated from the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University with an MBA in Finance & Accounting. He also earned a BSc in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
Ari Staiman serves as General Counsel at Roblox. He structures strategic relationships with key global partners to drive Roblox’s creation, innovation, and growth worldwide while ensuring legal compliance.
Ari is an international e-commerce and global video game industry veteran, both on the business and legal sides, for over 20 years. He has lived, worked, and helped launch and run successful operations in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.
On the business side, Ari served as President of SEGA Amusement Works and SVP, General Manager of the China and Ireland branches at Borderfree (NASDAQ: BRDR), which enabled online sales in over 220 countries. On the legal side, he was SEGA’s global General Counsel (stationed at its Tokyo headquarters, overseeing Asia, Europe, and the United States) and Borderfree’s General Counsel where he brought the company through its financing rounds, initial public offering, and acquisition.
Ari received his JD from the School of Law at Fordham University and he graduated with a BA in Asian Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
VP of Care & Safety + Chief Privacy Officer
Remy Malan serves as both Vice President of Care & Safety and Chief Privacy Officer at Roblox. In his role as VP of Care & Safety, Remy is focused on identifying and implementing best practices to ensure that Roblox is a safe and civil environment for our thriving community of players and creators across the world. He leads our customer care, content moderation, and online safety initiatives, developing industry-leading technology to promote positive online behavior among kids and teens. Remy also leads the company’s Privacy Office and its mission of protecting the privacy of the Roblox community.
Remy brings over 25 years of industry experience to the executive team, having built a reputation for establishing high-performing, customer-focused organizations at a number of technology companies. Prior to joining Roblox, Remy was the Chief Customer Officer at SugarCRM where he was instrumental in ensuring the success of its customers’ CRM implementations. He also held other customer-facing executive roles at companies such as Teleplace, a 3D collaboration environment featuring user-generated content for education and training, and AOL Time Warner. Remy is passionate about creating great experiences for customers and finding new ways to engage with them.
Remy received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Chief of Staff
As Chief of Staff at Roblox, Kyle Price serves as a strategic advisor to our Chief Executive Officer (CEO). With an eye toward driving efficiency and effectiveness across the company, he works closely with the executive leadership team to scale our culture and operations globally.
Kyle has built an impressive history of strategic and operational excellence over the past 15 years while working in technology and consulting in Europe. During his tenure at eBay, he spent eight years building and launching numerous products and commercial propositions for business and consumer selling, cross-border trade, advertising, and monetization. More recently he led eBay’s organic and inorganic geographic expansion efforts in EMEA.
Kyle holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BBA in International Business from the University of Georgia.
VP of Brand Partnerships
Christina Wootton serves as Vice President of Brand Partnerships at Roblox. In her role, Christina is focused on building awareness and engagement for Roblox by establishing strategic long-term relationships with other premier brands that matter most to our community. She partners with these beloved brands to provide enriching digital experiences for millions of players across the world.
Bringing more than a decade of digital advertising and promotional marketing experience, Wootton has worked closely with Fortune 500 companies creating successful strategic partnerships and strong relationships with Disney, Universal Pictures, Sony, Warner Brothers, and Fox.
Prior to joining Roblox, Wootton was the West Coast Sales Director at Stardoll Media where she partnered with movie studios, as well as Mattel and Disney Channel/XD, on custom advertising programs to drive sales and tune-in. Wootton graduated from California State University Long Beach.
VP of Engineering, Product
Tom Boyd serves as Vice President of Engineering, Product at Roblox. He is leading efforts to develop new systems and features to broaden Roblox’s appeal to audiences worldwide.
A veteran in the gaming industry, Tom brings more than 25 years of experience building, designing, and leading software development. Previously, he was the Senior Director of Software Development at Amazon where he was general manager of Amazon's game engine, Lumberyard. He also helped launch dozens of titles during his 19-year tenure with Electronic Arts, including The Sims 4, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and many more.
Tom received his M.S. and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from U.C. Davis.
Country Manager, Korea
Sunghyun (Woody) Rhee is the Country Manager of Korea for Roblox. He is responsible for establishing and growing Roblox’s presence in Korea, enabling the company to better serve the community in that region and maintain long-term success as it continues to expand internationally.
Woody previously served as the Country Manager of Riot Games’ Korean office. There, he led the publishing of one of Korea’s most successful online games, League of Legends. He also pioneered the development of LoL PARK, an iconic LoL Esports stadium in Seoul. Prior to that, Woody spent six years overseeing growth at Naver, one of Korea’s largest internet companies.
Woody received his MA in East Asian Regional Studies from Harvard University and his BA in Chinese Language and Literature from Busan National University.
VP of Product, Developer
Deepak (Sorcus) Chandrasekaran was appointed as Vice President of Product, Developer at Roblox, effective July 2019. In this role, Sorcus is responsible for building and expanding the tools and technology that power the developer experience.
Since joining Roblox in early 2011 as a Software Engineer, Sorcus has held a number of leadership positions within the company. He previously served as Engineering Manager (2012-2014) and Director of Product Development (2014-2019) where he and his team drove major technological innovations in Roblox’s social ecosystem, avatar framework, and core user experience.
Sorcus graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a master’s degree in Computer Science and Entertainment Technology. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Computer Science from the College of Engineering, Guindy.
