About the Job:

Join our Web Team as a Senior Engineer where your skill and experience will have a direct impact on the shape of our company.

  • Take ownership of what users see and have a strong voice in how we enhance and improve the product.
  • Provide direction and insight, as we transition the site into a fully-fledged user generated gaming platform.
  • Relish the role of being an application specialist. We will look to you to solve hard problems and make our site fast, elegant, and awesome.
  • Build leading edge gaming features, including discovery and recommendation algorithms and APIs for our users to integrate their games with our data storage and hosting environment.
  • Contribute to the design and development of our service oriented architecture intended for internal and third party use.
  • Help invent the future of online play.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience in software development.
  • Fluent in ASP.NET, JQuery, CSS, SQL and MVC with a deep understanding of how to make everything work harmoniously together.  You can cross-browser debug in your sleep.
  • PASSIONATE about realizing great design through code. You have opinions about the products you work on and aren't afraid to defend them / be criticized / be wrong. You know how to be confident and consultative at the same time.
  • Experience writing code that interacts with a large, complex back end – you need to be able to read and write server side code.
  • Software Engineering discipline. We need you to understand what it means to work in a professional software engineering environment. You take pride in checking in bug free code.

Compensation

Salary is negotiable based on experience and/or qualifications. ROBLOX provides a complete compensation package including stock options, health insurance benefits and a 401k program.
